Through the use of seismic surveys, along with geophysical and geological studies, the company aims to evaluate its concessions and map its geological formations and oil resources prior to drilling new oil and gas discoveries. The current concession and joint venture areas assigned to the company total 52,241 km² which is divided to 19 concessions and joint ventures.

The company executed exploration programmes of :

•  Seismic survey of 1,895 km using electrical methods.
• Seismic survey of 6,185 km. of seismic lines using refraction methods.
• Gravity survey of approximately 29,563 km.
• Magnetic survey of 7,477 km.
• Survey of 167,124 km of 2 D seismic lines.
• Survey of 8,238 km of 3D seismic lines.
• 202 exploration and delineation wells have been drilled.
